After arriving in Siem Reap, we visited the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia - Tonlé Sap Lake. Quite amazingly, the flow of this lake changes direction twice a year and the major portion that forms the lake expands and shrinks according to the seasons.

And quite apparent now that we're nearing the end of the year which is the rainy season, the Tonlé Sap Lake backs up to form an enormous lake. We took a boat ride all the way to the middle of the lake which seemed like the middle of really nowhere to wait for the sun to set.

It's not everyday you get to sit at the tip of a boat and wait for the majestic sun to set in this beautiful way. With the sun glow glistering upon the waters, I am reminded of God's beautiful creation of nature that is far beyond my comprehension.
